perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse. They
administer medicine and injections, and take vital signs. Starting your career
as an LPN is a great way to become a registered nurse. It’s also a great alternative
for those who want to become a nurse but do not want to be RNs.

$31,440

Most LPNs provide basic
bedside care. They take vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse

Reflection:
Most licensed practical
nurses in hospitals and nursing homes work a 40-hour week, but because patients
need around-the-clock care, some work nights, weekends and holidays. They often
stand for long periods and help patients move in bed, stand or walk.
